Abstract Siombak Lake is an artificial lake in Medan City. We investigated microplastic pollution tropical tidal waters the current research. Grab samples of water and sediments were taken by Indonesian standards. Organic digestion density separation used preparation sample. The categorization polymer was determined Raman Spectrophotometry, quantity shape, microscopy. result indicated that sediment polluted with microplastic. Both are dominated fragment shapes. concentration ranging from 91 to 126 particles for 100 ml 262 398 one gram dry sediment.
